The court was informed that Price had not responded to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) regarding her debts, which have been accumulating since her initial bankruptcy declaration in 2019. This situation worsened with a second bankruptcy in March 2023 due to an unpaid tax bill totaling £761,994.05. Additionally, Price was ordered in February to forfeit 40% of her income from the adult entertainment platform OnlyFans over a separate debt dispute.
Judge Burton’s decision to issue the arrest warrant comes after reports that Price was potentially abroad, specifically in Turkey, where she was seen in a now-deleted Instagram story. The judge noted that an arrest warrant is not issued lightly but was deemed necessary due to Price’s lack of cooperation and failure to provide basic financial information. This includes missing details about her income and assets, which were supposed to be addressed in the hearing.
The court had also been expecting Price to deliver several of her vehicles, including a distinctive pink Range Rover, to the trustee as part of her bankruptcy resolution. However, these vehicles have not been surrendered, leading to further complications in her case. The trustee’s barrister, Darragh Connell, criticized Price for her incomplete cooperation and indicated that her arrest is intended to ensure her future attendance at hearings.
