Rapper Travis Scott has been arrested in Paris following an altercation with his bodyguard at the luxurious George V hotel. The incident, which occurred early Friday morning, involved Scott allegedly attacking a security guard who intervened during a heated dispute between the rapper and his bodyguard. French authorities have initiated a criminal investigation into the matter, with prosecutors looking into charges of “unspecified violence” against the guard.

Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was seen attending a Team USA Olympic basketball game against Serbia the evening before the incident. The rapper, known for his high-profile career and being a 10-time Grammy Award nominee, was photographed alongside American businessman Michael Rubin and rapper Quavo, formerly of Migos.
This arrest adds to Scott’s history of legal issues. Earlier this year, he was detained in Miami over a dispute on a private yacht. Although a charge of disorderly intoxication was dropped, he still faces a trespassing charge. Scott’s career has also been marred by the tragic Astroworld festival in 2021, where ten fans died in a crowd surge. While he did not face criminal charges related to the festival, he remains entangled in civil cases concerning the event’s organization.
